History

This song came to me after watching the movie 'Men of Honor'. I don't know why, but it must have had some emotional impact upon me - so much that I wrote the lyrics of this song in the duration of about 5 minutes after the show. My emotions were so powerful, I actually cried while I was writing the lyrics. Though the lyrics only took me 5 minutes to write, the music took me a week. I tried to make the music feel as much as the lyrics did - passionate, heart-felt, and quietly powerful. I wanted this song to tell a story, to take the listener through a journey of that emotion I felt. I was pleased with the result, and I hope you like it.
Lyrics

Please I ask you, just this once... to hold me.....
Take this man into your arms....
And let him in your heart.
The best intentions, never felt until now.
Please.... just love me.
Please... just see..

Please I ask ... was it meant to be?
Take a look into these eyes....
And see.... the man I long to be.
And see a man I’ve lost.

(please find me...)

I’ve only had the very best...
This life of mine, so richly blessed...
Stars shone down to make for me...
A path I could not see...

I feel so alone, so lost, and afraid...
I cannot go on without you.
Please understand, from heaven above..
My life depends on your love.

And then you were there...
My soul’s only dream.
Please I ask you to believe.

Take a look into these eyes
and see the man I long to be.

Please I ask you, just this once...
Hold me...
Take this man into your arms
and let him in your heart..
The best intentions never felt until now.
Please just love me..

Other Comments
" Very powerful and moving lyrics. Now I want to see the movie :-). Definitely inspired. (Too slow of dial- up to get to listen, but I'm sure the music is just as good.)
