There Was This Girl
There Was This Girl…..

There was this girl, she was not in any way complete,
She found life hard, hard to stand on her own two feet.

Wandering aimlessly, with little direction in her life,
Her days became filled with sadness and strife.

On a downwards spiral, She hit the floor,
Trying to take her own life, was there any point anymore?

She started to go to church, try and turn her life to good,
Unsure what to believe, not sure if she should.

Then one day she finally knew, she had belief in him above,
It was time to learn new things, to show the Lord her love.

As she reads the gospel, it fills her once sad heart and mind,
She has finally found the right the path, the path she was meant to find.

So for forgiveness, joy and guidance, she begins to pray,
She spoke to the Lord, and in return her heart did say.

“I’ve been with you each step of the way my child, without a single doubt,
I saw your every move, when you made a mistake my heart did cry out.

But now you see you can change your life, and bring things new,
You are my child, be faithful to me and I will look out for you.”

She can see hope in her life, more and more each day,
The lord is there as her friend, in each and every way.

I’ll keep the Lord, keep him in my heart each day,
Thank you Lord for my life, On the path I’ll stay.

So now that person she used to be, that person has gone,
That ‘she’ is called Caroline, her journey has just begun.
